250t/h Mobile Sand Line Runs 1+ Year in Malaysia

When a Malaysian ready-mix producer in Johor needed to replace aging fixed infrastructure—without halting supply to nearby construction projects—they turned to LM Heavy Industry. The result? A 250 t/h mobile sand-making line that’s now clocked over 14 months of uninterrupted operation, even through monsoon season.

The challenge was clear: local river sand reserves had tightened due to environmental restrictions, pushing the client toward manufactured sand from granite quarry waste. But space was tight—just 1,200 m²—and production couldn’t dip below 200 t/h during transition. LM proposed a fully mobile VSI-based solution: two units working in tandem—crushing & shaping in one, washing & dewatering in the second—both on crawlers.

What made it stick? Simple: reliability and adaptability. During heavy rains in November 2025, the plant kept running while nearby fixed facilities shut down for drainage repairs. LM’s team had pre-installed elevated feed hoppers and sloped discharge conveyors—small tweaks that avoided costly downtime.

Compared to their old setup, the LM line cut water consumption by nearly 40% and reduced fines loss—critical when every tonne counts. One plant manager put it plainly: “We used to lose 12–15% ultra-fines in the settling pond. Now, with the dewatering screen and screw, recovery’s above 96%. That’s pure margin.”

Today, the same configuration is being replicated at a sister site in Perak. And with LM’s local service hub in Kuala Lumpur offering 48-hour parts delivery, unplanned stops have dropped to just two in 14 months—both under 3 hours.
